So he's both proved and disproved the conjecture, but it will only be certain once the proof is examined?

The TV station's executives don't really understand this weird little show and thus try to get rid of it astonishingly often. So you'll only know if the show actually got cancelled or not this time, by switching on the channel... ;-)

Coincidentally, the puppet even happens to have the same first name as Schrödinger... ;-)

BTW, the "Erwin the Quantum Cat & Captain Happy Crossover Christmas Special" from 1978 has been a long time favorite for fans of both shows.
Unfortunately, it neither has been shown in reruns for a long time, nor been officially released on VHS or DVD. Rumor has it that this has been prevented so far by none other than AB's Captain Happy, who allegedly once threatened to "track down every copy of that show and smash it with a sledge hammer". The more likely explanation though is the complicated legal situation due to the two franchises belonging to different companies nowadays.
All the fans thus have of this special are low quality YouTube videos (derived from seemingly always the same old home-made tape), which always tend to get taken down rather quickly.

This looks like a prime example of 'lost episodes' type stories.

Did the show exist? Did it not? Or is the mere fact that Erwin stands in full display here proof to disprove any doubtless doubt?

I think we should put Erwin in a box just to be safe. The continuum can't take much more of this.

Some people think there are hints that point to an obscure TV production studio located in the capital of Denmark as this mysterious series point of origin.

This is known among fans as the Copenhagen Interpretation... ;-)
