Did you know that Major Wildebees (from my comic) has a cat? His name is Patton!

Also, since I already played catchup by featuring two characters in one picture, I did it here again by also throwing in the cat's owner herself. (In clothes that she haven't been seen wearing in the comic so far, so that it can count as a redesign.)

BTW, if you look closely, you can see some scars, and more are probably covered by her shirt. You see, back in the Ostrich War (see my character # 1), she once got attacked and almost killed by an ostrich...

Nice concept with the ostriches...in real life they're known to injure or kill with their two-toed kicks.

Yep! I was partly inspired by reading about how freaking dangerous cassowaries can be, so that this is also the case for other large flightless birds doesn't surprise me.

Australia has the most kick-ass birds (pun intended).

As opposed to New Zeeland, where the (extant) flightless birds are puny and named like a fruit! :-D

Huh, didn't take her as a cat person... guess you never can tell.

"Patton" is a good name for a cat.

Her choice of pet going "against type" was precisely the idea! I figured that since her relationship to her boss Lena is being loyal, protective and ready to follow orders, people would be more inclined peg her into the dog category...

Typical cat people. The get scratched up by their nasty "pets" and invent some ridiculous story to cover them up.
"My kitty? Nooo! Cats are way too cute to scratch anybody! You know.... years ago, there was this renegade ostrich, and..."

Hehehe, interesting interpretation! :-D
(Though some of the scars covered by her shirt would probably suggest that her cat is as large as a tiger or something...)

Nice to see her in less stressful circumstances.

After that whole Dr. Strontium-debakle, she definitely deserves a few days off! :-D

I must catch up!

I'll have time now that this is finished.
